September, 2014 – A member of the Wyoming County Showstoppers 4-H Dairy Club, Montana Cole, 17 worked with a goat pair as part of a senior graduation project and plans to donate the proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Many local businesses jumped on board to support her project. “When we heard about Montana’s graduation project, I knew we would want to help,” said Matt Tripoli, IMG’s business development manager for the region. “We always look at ways to be a community partner, said Ron Kiecana, IMG’s Managing Director. “So, as extra encouragement, we told Montana we would match the funds she raised.”
Together, her 76-pound reserve champion medium-weight goat and her 62-pound champion lightweight sold for $3,790 – breaking the Wyoming County Fair sale record.
With IMG Midstream’s matching funds, the total Montana raised for her senior project donation to St. Jude will be in excess of $7500.
